Early in his career, Kaces founder Alan Poster watched working musicians and roadies struggle with archaic plywood travel cases, that were heavy, bulky and in constant need of repair. He saw the need for cases crafted from more versatile materials, to be lighter, more durable and protective. Based on technological advancements in the camera, sports, and military supply industries, Kaces developed a line of fabric and polyfoam cases, as well as an improved line of traditional wood cases. Kaces gig bags and cases are designed based on the latest technology and materials, and provide lightweight durability that makes them tough, yet easy to carry.
